- Annual club contributions to Past National Presidents (PNP) scholarships now $5 (voluntary).
- Winners in a national contest class/category may not repeat as winners in that
same class/category. They may, however, win in another class/category.
- Student Auditions will now be known as Student/Collegiate Auditions
- The Gretchen Van Roy Music Education Scholarship will now be available to
college juniors of any age.
- Any who wish to run next summer for at-large-positions should contact Cheryl
who will submit a Federation biography to the nominating committee, which in
2005 will be chaired by Shirley Carroll of Illinois.
- An effort is being made to streamline/reduce the many project deadlines. Members
are adjured to look for possible changes.
- A CD of piano duets (through Elementary 4) is available and may be ordered as

- Increases have been made in the Barbara Irish Harp Award, the Ruby Vought
Organ Award, and the Irene Muir Men's and Women's Voice Awards.
- A committee of the regional vice presidents is studying ways to make representation
at the national level more equitable. This might include changing regional
boundaries and election procedures. State presidents will be asked to contribute
information.
- The Junior Division is now offering a new poster which will be used for promotional
purposes. The 4-color publication will be 17 x 22 inches and will be sold
for about $2.00 each.
- The 2005 biennial convention will be held June 19-27 in Austin, Texas. The
2006 fall board session is set for August 1-7 in Minneapolis, and the 2007
biennial will be held in the Western Region.
